Well Sunday is my first Mothers Day. I remember being a kid thinking it was so unfair that Mother's and Father's got a day and it was never Kid's day. So one day I asked my dad, "How come its never kid's day daddy?" He just laughed at me and said, "Because every day is kids day kiddo." I just looked at him confused.
It isnt until now that I understand. Our poor parents only got one day a year for themselves and even then it was full of half cooked pancakes and badly made school crafts. Why is it that we never appreciate our parents until we are "blessed" with becoming parents ourselves?

Happy first Mothers Day to you! It's Jenni's first Mothers day as well :) How things change from when we were kids...
Oh, and the thunder storms are scary. We get them all of the time like that, most of the time they are the loudest and scariest at 2am.
